William T. McNamee

Mc NAMEE William T., Sr. “Pop”, age 85 of Springfield, PA and formerly of SW Phila. passed away on March 31, 2012 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born June 14, 1926 in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Alberta (nee Robey) and James McNamee. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Army during WW II. Known as “Pop” to everyone that knew him, he was an avid sports fan. Pop enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Flyers with his grandchildren Michael and Marc. He especially enjoyed going to the casinos with his granddaughter Kelly and other family members. Bill worked for Drummond Scientific Company in Broomall for many years as a glass cutter and inspector before retiring in 1987. Pop was a great provider for his family and his daughter Susan spent every morning drinking coffee with him. Husband of his first and only love the late Louise P. (nee DiCamillo). They were married for 46 years before she passed away Feb. 28, 1997. He is the father of the late William T., Jr. and predeceased by 1 brother and 1 sister. He was a man of very few words but loved his family very much and will be sadly missed forever. Survived by his daughter Susan T. Wiseley (William), his grandchildren Kelly Gardler (Anthony), Michael Wiseley, Marc Wiseley, Kim Geyer (Craig) and Danielle McNamee, 6 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thurs. 9-10:45 A.M. followed by his Funeral Service 11 A.M. at the D’ANJOLELL MEMORIAL HOME OF BROOMALL, 2811 West Chester Pike Broomall, PA 19008. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
