Thomas C. Mascioli (Tom), a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away
peacefully, in the early morning hours of October 27th, 2023 from a brief, but aggressive form of
cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Tom had many special, wonderful qualities, not only as a family man, but as a brother, friend,
mentor, colleague and widely respected business owner. An unassuming, humble man, he gave
his resources freely, whether to offer help, guidance, or (usually anonymously) any financial
assistance. He was a kind, quiet leader who spent a lifetime lifting others up, while never taking
credit for his many successes in life. Tom handled his disease with an uncommon grace,
knowing that if treatment wasn’t successful, he would still win, as he would be with the Lord.
Tom always saw people and his world in the most positive light. It was a special gift.
Tom loved spending time with his family vacationing on the beach, from the time he was little,
whether in Longport, NJ, as a child or in the Outer Banks with his friends along. He loved
Philadelphia sports teams (unconditionally) and could be seen at any basketball game where he
knew someone, or someone’s child! He was both a cigar and Michael Bublé aficionado and
loved to throw a great Christmas Party.
In addition to his loving wife Joann, he is survived by his sons, Mario, and Nick, as well as, his
daughter in law Laura and grandchildren James (age 7) and Tommy (age 6 months). He is also
survived by his sister Maria, brothers Mario and Bob along with their spouses, and his nieces
and nephews.
A celebration of Tom’s life was held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Calvary
Chapel of Delaware County, 500 Brandywine Drive, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Contributions in
his memory may be made to Greenhouse Project, https://www.ghproject.org/vision, an
