NICOLELLA
Phyllis A. Nicolella (nee Miccarelli) passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023, at the Quadrangle at the age of 93.
Born in Philadelphia, Phyllis made her home in Broomall for the past 66 years.
Phyllis graduated from West Chester State College with a teaching degree. Her first job was in Lansdowne School District. In 1964 she started teaching at St. Pius X School in Broomall. After teaching for 25 years, she continued substitute teaching well into her 80s.
Her hobbies included reading, floral arrangements, crafts, and crossword puzzles. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Mario V. “Matt,” her son-in-laws Dan Tocci and George Dytko.
Survived by her daughters, Cheryl A. Tocci Dytko (Paul), and Marcy (Ray) Cianni. Also, her grandchildren, Raymond (Dana), Pamela (Ryan), Danny (Olivia), Gregory (Ashley), and David (Paige). Along with her great-grandchildren, Landon, Garrett, Kyla, Kendall, Olivia, Heather, Elia, and Julian, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Friday, January 13th 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, January 14th 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Church 220 Lawrence Rd. Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
