Peter Joseph Hinckle, age 45, passed away on October 25th, 2022, following a long battle with the disease of addiction. Born on February 28, 1977 in Louisville, KY, to Kathleen O’Sullivan Hinckle and Charles R Hinckle, Peter was the sixth of seven children. As a child, Peter was sweet, empathic and had an extensive imagination. Along with these traits, he was rambunctious and rarely seen without wearing a cape along with his Superman Underoos, collecting bumps, bruises and a weekly set of new stitches. Peter graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School and Ursinus College. Throughout his school years, Peter was able to garner a collection of close friends. He loved and cared deeply for them, showing unwavering loyalty. Peter was a standout high school football player and continued this passion into college. After numerous accolades, Peter was later inducted into the Ursinus College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. Along with his parents, Peter is survived by his siblings Robert (Kristen Kraus), Christin, Tara, C. Toebe (Catherine Callison), Daniel (Erin Schusler) and Kathleen along with 16 nieces and nephews. Peter was a kind soul; he was dearly loved; and will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Thursday, Nov. 3^rd; 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. followed by his Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. ALL IN CHURCH at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083.

Pete was a kind soul who always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone who needed it. He was an awesome football player. When he made a tackle you could hear the hit all over the stadium. May God Rest His Soul.

I am absolutely devastated. Peter and the Hinckle clan was such a big part of my youth. We were inseparable. Wether it was listening to U2, basement whiffle ball, trading baseball cards, sneaking Oreos…. And then there was the infamous hit when I fumbled in the Southern Division Championship. This hurts! This hurts bad! I lost both my brother and sister to the disease of ADDICTION. Peter you will ALWAYS be my grade school best friend! And to the Hinckle family I will always cherish the time we spent together. Lance Shaw
