Nick was born and raised in South Philadelphia, and later resided in Upper Darby and Aston Pa. He was a kind, funny, and devoted family man to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He always welcomed everyone with a bright smile and a kind heart. Nick was a proud Veteran who served and loved his Country. Nick was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, and would love to cook big Italian meals for his kids and grandkids while he watched every game. He enjoyed spending family vacations every year in Ocean City NJ, Thanksgiving and Mummers Parades; as well of all holidays and fun times with his family.He married the love of his life, Phyllis Valente, in 1969, and they started a beautiful family of 3 wonderful children, and 7 grandchildren. He adored Phyllis and his family with all of his heart for all of their 52 years of marriage.Nicholas graduated from Bok High School in South Philadephia. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army for 2 terms of service as a Military Police Officer stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After his discharge, he worked 32 years in the Dairy Union at Abbotts, and Lehigh Valley Farms. He enjoyed his retirement working at Farrells florist delivering flowers and smiles to people’s faces.Son of the late Dominic & Angelina (Argondizza) Valente; Brother of the late Caroline, Fredrick, Sarah, and Alfonse.Survivors: Devoted husband of Phyllis (Muscatello) Valente, loving father of Nicholas (Leslie) Valente, Phyllis Valente, Valerie (Peter) Thompson. Also survived by his loving grandchildren; Luke, Evan, Pierce, Gianna, Rey, Kyle, and WillowRelatives & Friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 9:30 -10:45 am at the Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Road Aston, Pa. 19014.His funeral service will be at 11am in our Main ChapelInterment will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
