Mrs. Elaine Joan Vogel

Elaine Joan Vogel, 91, of Broomall, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren early the morning of December 7, 2022, never one to leave a party early. “Born on the kitchen table” (as she loved to tease) in Roxborough on March 9, 1931, to the late William and Loretta Minnick, Elaine was a force of nature from her first breath to her last.

She changed the lives of everyone she met whether they knew her for a minute or a lifetime. She shared 70 years with the love of her life Mickey. Together they had four children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, and they loved each one fiercely. They traveled the world, but their favorite place was Sea Isle City, New Jersey. She loved excitement. She never missed a voice recital or field hockey game, but especially not a party. Devoted to her faith, she was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church, where she and her husband were founding members.  She loved music and singing and was a member of both the choir and the Sodality group.

Elaine is survived by her husband Michael, children Michael and wife Joann, Gregory and wife Diane, Donna and husband John, Geralyn and husband Tim; her grandchildren Gregory (Kendra), Tara (Dan), Katie (Bryan), Laura (Logan), Natalie (David), David (Megan), Leighann (Dan), Victoria (Ryan), John, Alaina (Josh), and Tim; and her great grandchildren Jacob, Grant, Olivia, Shane, Piper, Callum, Sloane, Taylor, Harper, Reid, Jonah, and Michael.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, on Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.  Internment will be held at later date.  In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be sent to the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters at: The Sister Mary Amatrix Convent of Divine Love 2212 Green St. Philadelphia, PA 19130-3197
