Michael “Biggs” McLaughlin age 62, passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2020 with his family by his side. Son of the late Francis & Catherine McLaughlin, brother of the late Franny McLaughlin and father of the late Anthony McLaughlin. Survivors: Devoted husband of 21 years to Joanne (Bova), loving father of Michael (Julia) Ebright, Brian McLaughlin, Kaitlyn McLaughlin, Michaela McLaughlin and Tyler McLaughlin. Brother of Rob (Mary) McLaughlin, Catherine (Bob) Malinowski, John (Judy) McLaughlin and his sister in law Debbie McLaughlin. Also survived by his 4 grandchildren Jackson, Isabel, Michael Jr and Annabel, along with many nieces and nephews.Mike was a lifelong Delaware County resident. He grew up in Aston, PA. He was the second child of Francis and Catherine McLaughlin. Mike graduated from Saint James High School and spent the majority of his working years as a master plumber at F.J. McLaughlin Plumbing and Heating based in Aston Township.He was a friend of Bill W. and devoted 25 + years of service to help many find their purpose.Mike was a devoted family man. He married Joanne Bova on May 14th, 1999. They were married for 21 wonderful years and gave birth to three amazing children. Mike and Joanne were truly soulmates. The last year was the most amazing and memorable year of their marriage. Mike loved watching his son Brian play football from 2003-2006 at Sun Valley, and his daughter Kaitlyn cheerleader for the Vanguards from 2006-2009. He had a special bond with both Brian and Katie. Mike was so proud to watch his daughter Michaela grow up; through her early days of cheer leading, to field hockey, graduation and college. Mike was always there for his daughter “Skeets.” He was a coach, mentor and best friend to his son Tyler. Words cannot describe how proud he was of Tyler and his football and basketball accomplishments and accolades. Mike coached his son from an early age and became a major presence in the Aston community. His voice could always be heard whether it was the announcer’s booth or sidelines of the Aston AA football field, or the hill at the Sun Valley Football field. He was truly larger than life and lit up the room when he walked in. In the spring of 2016, Mike was able to re-connect with his son Michael and his wife Julia. Mike, Michael and Julia formed a close bond over the past four years and was so proud of the man he became and loved his grandchildren Jack, Isabel, Michael Jr and Annabel. Mike was an avid sports fan. He loved watching the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Flyers and attending live games in his earlier years with his children. Anyone who was in the near vicinity while Mike was watching games heard his passion for sports. Mike was a friend to everyone. He loved to converse, especially about sports and politics. He was the first to lend a hand over the years. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his gathering Sat. 9:00 – 10:45 am. at the DANJOLELL – STIGALE MEMORIAL HOME, 3260 Concord Road, Aston Funeral Service: 11 am in the Main Chapel. I am so very sorry for your lost. Michael was a great all around person. RIP Michael.

My sincerest sympathy goes to Joanne and family. I'll miss chatting with Mike over the fence! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Joanne & family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I only met Mike once and was impressed by his personality and cheerfulness.

Remembering from back in the day. Lots of good times in our parents back yards on South Manor with both your parents and siblings, as well as mine. Rest In Peace brother.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mike's entire family. He will be so very missed. I always loved sitting near Mike at any family event. His huge heart, funny wit and charisma were just delightful. He also had the ability to make anyone feel right at home and at ease. An awesome man.

Joanne and Family , Ian so sorry for your loss. Mike always brought a smile to my face and I was sad to hear of his passing . Most of the day of hearing the news I thought of him and a lot of the memories I had . He would always say Yo Cliff, what�s up kid. He always inspired me to keep up the battle with staying sober , and was an example to me of what a great father and friend should be. I will miss him , his friendship was a treasure in my life. The world has lost another great man. I'll never forget how he came right over to my house when I was having problems with my son. He sat for hours talking to him. He will be so missed. I'm sure Walt and Dj will be there to greet him at the big pearly gates. So sorry for the families huge liss

I will always miss my brother in law an remember how he appreciated every little thing I did around the house and cooked while waiting to move to Florida. Love you always Mike,
