1935 – 2017MAURICE GILBERTMAURICE GILBERT, 81, of Chester, passed away peacefully on April 20th surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Herman Gilbert and Sue Odle Gilbert. Maurice spent his formative years in Centerville, Tennessee, graduated from O.H. Bernard High School and served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.Survivors: Maurice leaves to cherish his fond memories, his children, Monica Watkins, Maurice Gilbert, II, and Michael Gilbert, son-in-law, Dorian Watkins, sister-in-law, Angela Wilson (Clifford), brother-in-law, Alvin Trusty, eight grandchildren, one great grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend of 55 years, Thomas “Tommy” Gessler.
