We joyfully celebrate the life of Mary T. Jeffers, who, at the grand age of 97, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024. Mary’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, service, and family, woven with the threads of joy, care, and endless memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
Born in Philadelphia to Agostino and Concetta DeLeo, Mary blossomed in a nurturing environment alongside her late brother Gus and her sister Anna DellaPenna of Philadelphia, PA. She is preceded by her brother Sammy, daughter Theresa Norton and granddaughter Shaun Lloyd. She found her soulmate in the late John H. Jeffers, to whom she was lovingly married in 1946. Together, they laid down roots in Marlton, NJ, where Mary dedicated over five decades of her life, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter.
Mary’s compassionate spirit led her to a fulfilling career as a nurse and caregiver, roles through which she extended her maternal care beyond her family. Her joy was amplified in the company of her grandchildren, with whom she shared her love, wisdom, and zest for life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love as the cherished mother of John Jeffers of VA, and Connie (Michael) Quigley, of Williamstown, NJ. Her memory will be fondly cherished by her grandchildren: Robert (Kathy) Huckaby, Bill (Johanna) Norton, Jennifer Norton, Michael Norton, Jay (Angela) Jeffers, Jeannine (Bryan) Turner, Veronica Jeffers, Genesis Jeffers, Jessica (Joe) Palma, Michelle (Mike) Carnevale, Michael Quigley, Stacey Jeffers Wallace, Joey Jeffers and by her 19 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to her boundless love and the beautiful life she nurtured.
We invite relatives and friends to join us in commemorating Mary’s remarkable journey through life at her viewing and funeral service. These will take place on Tuesday, with the viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. in the main chapel of the D’Anjolell-Stigale Memorial Home, 3260 Concord Rd., Aston, PA. Mary will be laid to rest at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, leaving us to cherish her memory and the indelible mark she has left on our lives.
