Marita Reardon

Marita Reardon passed away peacefully March 7, 2021, while bravely fighting many medical challenges. She was born in Heide, Germany on September 6, 1947, to the late Luther and Gertrude Tessarzik. Marita, along with her parents, came to the US in 1950. She grew up an independent and forward-thinking woman. She worked in several fields while finally retiring from the Delaware County Courthouse in 2010. Marita was an avid reader, gardener, bird-watcher, and lover of all animals. She loved traveling and being on the beach from dawn to dusk. She enjoyed family and friend get-togethers. She was fiercely proud of her grandchildren and took pride in sharing her family history and heritage with them. Not only will Marita be remembered as the life of the party–she WAS the party. Her smile, laugh and “joie de vivre” charmed all who knew her. Marita whistled and danced like no other, the dust never settling beneath her feet. All who knew her will remember the living, vibrant Marita! She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Roy Reardon, her cherished and loving daughter Dawn Giampaolo (Steve), her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicholas and many relatives.
