McGOLDRICK Luisa A. (nee DiGirolamo) of West Chester PA passed away on September 13, 2020 with her family by her side.Daughter of Elizabeth (nee Greaves) and the late Alfonso DiGirolamo. Survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jim, and her daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia McGoldrick and Todd Jaszcz, Kelley and Chris Battersby, Megan and Bryan Collins, and her nine grandchildren: Morgan, Madison, Jake, Dylan, Ella, Campbell, Brody, Brady, and Nolan; and her siblings Linda Roulston (late William), Vincent (Cathy), Richard, David (Grace) and Alfonso (Brenda).Luisa was born and raised in Bryn Mawr and lived in Broomall and West Chester.She worked at Bryn Mawr Hospital and Wyeth before retiring to begin her greatest career as a Mom-Mom.Luisa’s legacy began as an extraordinary mother to her three daughters. She is remembered as being a mom with never-ending energy, a strong moral compass and a lover of all animals. Her selflessness, compassion, kindness and empathy carried on when she became a grandmother to her nine grandchildren. Luisa was born to be a grandmother. She was an active participant in every moment of her grandchildren’s lives. She was their biggest cheerleader and made it to every single sporting and school event. The kids always appreciated her advice and looked forward to her encouragement. She never missed being there to see the grandkids head off to their first day of school each year. She loved spending time at the beach with them from the time they were infants until this past summer. She started many traditions with the grandkids that she knew would be lasting memories for them to cherish. Luisa loved being surrounded by her large extended family. She was happiest sitting around the table together, coffee in hand, laughing and sharing stories. She enjoyed cooking holiday dinners and hosting many celebrations at her home.Everything Luisa did was fueled by the immense love she had for her family. As a wife, mom, daughter, sister and aunt you could always count on her to be there to help provide support. She knew what everyone needed and never hesitated to respond. She always put everyone’s needs above her own.No one will ever figure out how she fit her big heart into her tiny 5ft frame. She will be missed by everyone, but we find solace that her spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren.Services are private.
