Vincent J. Parme left a message on October 24, 2013:
It is with sincere regret and sorrow that I send you these condolences from my family to yours….our family. To my Aunt Joanne, all the children and their wives and the grandchildren and great grandchildren and to my Mom, I send my sincere love in this your time of sorrow. I understand your loss and genuinely feel it as well. I can’t tell you how much I admired my Uncle Joe. He was the truest form of a family patriarch…..a classic in every sense of the word. I always admired how much his children respected and honored him. To me that was a great testament to how wonderful of a father he was. And all those years, faithfully devoted to my Aunt Joanne; that speaks volumes of his love for her. I will never lose the image of them dancing at all the parties over the years. The love between them was always so apparent. He was a great family man! The Teti Family to me represents the classic Italian American Family. Full to the brim with characters, stories, real people and genuine love. At the helm were Joe & Joanne Teti. Two of the finest people I have ever known. We’ve now sadly lost a great man. The respect that the entire family had for Joe Teti was again a testament to the person he was. He was smart, articulate, strong, genuine, giving, loving, talented, funny, friendly, engaging, loyal…...he was so many good things. He was a man that I admired and always wanted to emulate. We were all so lucky to have had him in our lives. For me personally, Uncle Joe was a role model. The strong character traits of his were always something that I knew represented goodness. No matter what, I knew that deep in his heart and soul there was a love for his family that was more important than anything. He was a man of his convictions, opinionated, strong willed and firm but I always knew that his intentions were driven by the love in his heart. Uncle Joe was definitely “old school” but boy was he always so on the ball. He was definitely a man with his finger on the pulse; a great conversationalist. When I was a kid I knew that if we got into trouble there was a price to pay with Uncle Joe. Anthony & I seemed to always find a way to get there too. Always in trouble! But when I got older I had conversations with my Uncle Joe that exposed to me a completely different side of him. He had a gentle and loving and caring side that I got to know and grew to love. He said some very meaningful things to me in my adult life that will never leave me and that had a profound influence on my life. For that I am so grateful. Joe Teti will live on in all our hearts forever. He will never really leave us as he has touched us all in so many ways and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. I know all of you are hurting so bad right now over this deep loss. My kids and I are praying for your entire family and especially for Joe Teti. We will all miss him dearly. God Bless the entire Teti Family. Try to find comfort in knowing that when a man lives his life as admirably as Joe Teti did, he has a direct path straight to Heaven. I’m certain he’s there now……saving a place for all who were close to him. Vince Parme & Kids.
