John Michael Tocco, Jr.

John Michael Tocco, JrSeptember 13, 1941 – January 25, 2016 John Michael Tocco Jr age 74, passed away on January 25, 2016. He was born on September 13, 1941 in Philadelphia to the late John and Mary (DeBlasio) Tocco. He was the devoted husband of Margaret “Peg” (Edmondson) who recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Brother of Angela Thiess (Donald); loving father of Margaret, John (Tina), Kathleen Kitchener (Michael); grandfather of Olivia, Ashley, Mark and the late Kathryn; and great-grandfather of Christopher. John attended St. Edmonds Elementary School, St. John Newman High School, and Pierce Jr. College. He started his career at American Express, and was employed at Breyers for 20 years, Breyers Federal Credit Union, Scott Paper Federal Credit Union, Federation Credit Union, and retired from the Quaker Valley Foods. John was very active in the Catholic Church in several parishes in the SW Philadelphia area. He served as a lectern and Eucharist Minister. He would often bring communion to the homebound who were unable to attend Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, February 1st from 9-10:15am at St. Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Ave., Phila. Funeral mass 10:30 am. Interment private.
