Jessica “Jay” Ann Maffei

Jessica Ann “Jay,” (nee Mimm) age 83, on October 22, 2023, of Royersford, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents, Florence (nee Redden) and George Mimm, and her siblings, Dolores Bradley, Daniel Logue, and John “Jack” Logue. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank J., Sr., her children, Michelle Gantz (Eric), Frank J. Jr., (Larisa), Danielle Ward (Rick), her grandchildren, Anastasia, Dominic, R.J., Alyssa, Isabella, Gabrielle, and Alexa. Also, her siblings, Joseph Logue, Florence “Floss” Hopkins, and Gerry Moritz.

Born in West Philadelphia, Jay spent much of her youth in the Fairmount Park area before moving to Southwest Philly where she worked at “The Hub”, a family owned luncheonette and become known as an expert sandwich maker. This is when she met Frank and fell in love. Jay was a wonderful wife and took great pride in being a terrific mom, and later the absolute best grandmom. She was happiest when surrounded by her extended family enjoying her famous pasta fagioli – especially on a Sunday as she cheered on her beloved “Iggles!”

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Saturday 9:00-9:45am followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00am ALL IN CHURCH at St. Philomena 41 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050. Inurnment Private.
