Ranieri1937~2018James J,. age 80, of Havertown, passed away peaceful at home on October 24, 2018. He was born December 4, 1937 in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia where he often talked about his experiences of growing up with his neighborhood friends. After marrying his wife of 52 years, Barbara, they moved to Havertown where they raised their two children, Jamie and Stephanie. He worked most of his life for the National Marine Manufacturing Association organizing and managing boat shows nationally.He enjoyed playing golf and relaxing on the beach, but his true passion was singing. As a young adult, he performed in clubs in Wildwood, NJ and later in life he performed in many shows at local theaters. He is survived by his one and only love, Barbara (DeOrio), son James J. Ranieri II, daughter, Stephanie Grimaldi (Piero), 5 adoring granddaughters, Jacqueline, Brianna, Victoria, Alexis and Giovanna. Brother, Victor.Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, November 1st, 6pm-8pm and Friday Morning 9-9:45am at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Funeral Mass 10:30 am St. Pius X Church.
