Frank L. (Bud) Tosti Sr., 90 years young, born on Christmas day, 1920, a certified public accountant, graduate of Penn Wharton School and a World War II veteran died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 31st . Born and raised in South Philly and a graduate of Southern High, Frank became very successful in the accounting world. He worked for Goldsmiths Assoc., Adler, Faunce, and Leonard and lastly became a lead partner in the Touche Ross Firm (now Deloitte-Touche) for over 20 years. He took great pride in servicing his clients with great attention to detail, and many of his clients became his best friends. He retired from the firm on September 6th, 1983, the same day he is to be put to rest. Frank loved playing softball and baseball, doing crosswords puzzles, listening to Sinatra on Sundays, and following the Phillies. He had incredible recall with numbers and could recite the day, date, and time of any important event, including anyones birthday, any sports, or historical event. He was a simple man, who enjoyed the simplest and best of pleasures spending quality time with his family and friends. In June, he celebrated his 64th wedding anniversary with the love of his life, his wife Ann. They spent their lives surrounding themselves with family and friends. No testament to his love of family was more evident then their famous Sundays at Pops pool where for over 40 years, every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, family and friends gathered for an afternoon celebration of food, drink, family fun. A crowd of 40 people each Sunday was the norm, with arrival at noon and leaving at dusk. The day was filled with swimming, wiffle ball, bocce ball, card playing, watching the Phillies, and leaving with the day with a full stomach, and wanting the next Sunday to come even faster. Once you made a Sunday, you were instantly a charter member of The Tosti Clan. Frank leaves behind a legacy of dedication, diligence, loyalty, and love of family. Besides his loving wife, Ann, he is survived by his daughter Rose (Mike), sons Louis(Sue) and Frank (Bud) Jr.(Kit), and adopted son Robert (Zeke) McLaughlin, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
