Edward Russell Morgan III of Media PA formerly of Havertown Delaware County, PA on Monday December 2nd 2013 at 2:14am passed away at age 68.Of Drexel Hill, PA. Son of the late Edward R. Morgan Jr. and Lillian Morgan. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years Kathy Morgan, his sister Gail Morgan and 4 children Barbara Morgan, Edward Morgan wife DebiJaye Morgan, Deborah Morgan, Johnathan Morgan wife Melissa Morgan, first wife Joyce Liverton/Morgan and 8 grandchildren John JP Morgan, Charles Morgan, Grady Morgan, John Millett, Ashley Millett, Kimberly Millett, LilyAnna Morgan and Edward R. Morgan V. Ed was born in Lansdowne, PA in 1945, the Morgan family moved to Drexel Hill, PA later that year. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts and Christ United Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1963 and later attended Penn State. To support his growing family, he began his career in the water treatment industry at Klenzoid Inc. and moved to Havertown, PA. As a young businessman, he was recruited to run for political office in Havertown and served for many years as Chairman of the Zoning Hearing Board of Haverford Township and then as Chairman of the Civil Servants Board, he served his community with honor and integrity. Always an adventurous business man, Ed began Chemical Equipment Labs, a water treatment business in 1979. Through his tireless efforts and later with the help of his family grew the company from the basement of his home in Havertown PA into a global import/export corporation. He was very proud of this accomplishment and enjoyed working above all else except for spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren became his favorite joy of all as Ed got older, watching them torment his children made him laugh while he whispered “payback” He had quite a sense of humor and was fond of pulling a trick on a unsuspecting family or friend. Following in his father’s footsteps he became a Freemason, raised to the esteemed position of Master then a Past Master of Masonic Lodge 51 of Philadelphia. He took his role a Mason very seriously and with integrity following the Mason rule as his father did. He was an avid boater and enjoyed fishing for his dinner or taking a ride with family and friends on sunny day down the shore. He also enjoyed working with his hands and his mind, from fixing his car, boat or a broken radio to figuring out how many molecules of water are in a 10 oz. cup. He had a scientific background and enjoyed applying this knowledge trying to understand the unanswered questions of the universe and life. He will be missed by his devoted wife Kathleen Morgan/Carragher who stood by his side through the good and the bad times, always there for him making sure he looked good and was on track with his busy schedule. His sister Gail and his children, Barbara, Ed, Debbie and John will miss his guidance, wisdom, love, laughter and friendship. He was a loving husband, father and brother always there to lend a hand and stand by us no matter what. His unquestionable and unconditional love will be in our hearts forever and we will rejoice in his life, love and the time we had with him forever in our souls until we meet him again in heaven. We will all miss your laughter and love, walk in peace with the Lord our Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather until we meet again. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday evening, 6 to 9 P.M. at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. On Friday morning, the Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:45 A.M. at the Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087. Funeral Service to follow at 11 A.M. Interment George Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge National Park. Masonic Service, Thursday evening, 8 P.M., University Lodge #51 F & AM.
