Donald (Don) Simpson, 75, of Ridley Township, PA passed on November 24, 2021. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. Son of the late Cecil Simpson and Terressa (Johnson) Simpson. Loved and beloved husband of Catherine Brownell, wife of 26 years. He is also survived by a daughter, son and grandchildren. At age 17, Don enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War as an Instrumentation Specialist on Guam from 1963 until 1967.After completion of his military service, he was employed by The Boeing Company, Space and Security Division (formerly Boeing Vertol) in Ridley Park, PA, The University of Pennsylvania Hospital as it’s IT Manager and later The University of Pennsylvania as an Infrastructure Engineer. Don was also a skilled Reiki Master practitioner.He was obsessed with all types of cars (anything with wheels), B-52 planes, Country Gentleman fedora hats, cigars and pipes. Don really was a “Country Gentleman” and will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.Relatives & Friends are invited to his visitation Sat. December 11th 11:30am at the Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Road AstonFuneral Service and Military Honors will begin at 1 pm in our main chapel.Interment will take place at a later date.
