Debra Marie Zwerlein, “Debbie” age 65, of Aston, PA died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the home of Warren and Betsy Bittner. Born in Ridley Park Pennsylvania. Graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1975 and Keystone Business School in 1977. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Westinghouse, Wyeth and retired from Maris Grove in Glen Mills Pennsylvania after fourteen and a half years.
Early on in her life Debbie joined Grace Chapel Church in Havertown. She was Baptized there on September 7, 1987. Debbie’s faith was very important to her and Grace Chapel Church was the beginning of her walk and relationship with Jesus Christ. She also attended Bible School for one year during this time. She participated in their puppet ministry and took many missionary trips to various countries and within the United States.
In 2008 Debbie became an active member of Covenant Fellowship Church. Here she found her church family for the past fourteen years and served in Many ministries. She joined Warren and Betsy’s small group. She participated on the Usher team, Communion team and Children’s Ministry. She also wanted to spread the gospel so she participated on the Maris Grove outreach Team and Uganda E-Team.
God gave Debbie a heart of compassion for many people. She reached out to children through the puppet ministry in her younger years. Over the last several years she participated in training and workshops with the Deaf Hearing Communication Center to become an interpreter for the hearing impaired.. She and her friend Margie started a Bible Study specifically for women in the workplace. Debbie joined Covenant Fellowship Church’s Cancer Support Group so she could share with everyone how God has been her strength and fortress during her own cancer journey. Debbie was a prayer warrior. If you met her for the first time or were a long time friend your needs were lifted in prayer to the one that she knew could help, Jesus Christ.
Debbie loved flowers and Birds. She would often take trips to the Flower Show or Longwood Gardens with her friends. Syd, her parrot was usually a point of discussion in her home as she shared his funny and quirky antics with all of us. Don’t forget her love for Booths Corner Farmers Market stop on Friday night for a Crab Cake sandwich at Albie’s.
Debbie was preceded in death by her loving parents Richard and Frances Zwerlein.
She was a loving daughter, sister and devoted friend. She is survived by her sister, Jean Pikus, cousins, many friends and church family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Covenant Fellowship Church 1 Fellowship Dr. Glen Mills. Pa. 19342 on Saturday 1pm, March 18th.
