DAVID A. GERACE D.M.D. David Anthony Gerace D.M.D., 52, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on April 2, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA surrounded by his family. Son of the late Salvatore Gerace. Dr. Gerace is survived by his wife, Noreen Gerace, daughter, Michelle Gerace, mother, Micheline Gerace of Drexel Hill, sisters, Christine Weber (Joseph) of Broomall and Karen Sockel (Craig) of West Chester, brother, Stephen Gerace (Kim) of Drexel Hill, and many beloved family members and friends. David was born on August 6, 1958 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. He was raised and lived his entire life in Drexel Hill, PA. He attended Saint Dorothy School and Cardinal OHara High School, Class of 1976, before going on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Saint Josephs University in 1980. David then completed his higher education in 1984 when he earned his Dental degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Gerace practiced dentistry in the Pilgram Gardens section of Drexel Hill for over 20 years. He also owned and worked in his second office located in Jennersville, Chester County, PA. Davids offices were his second homes and his staff and patients were like family to him. Getting to know his patients and the trust that they put in him as their dental provider was an honor for Dr. Gerace. David lived a very fulfilled life, which he spent with his close family and friends in Drexel Hill, PA and down the Shore in Ocean City, NJ. David, his wife, Noreen, and daughter, Michelle own a home in Ocean City, NJ where they love to spend their summers. He enjoyed the beach, was a pro at crossword puzzles, loved to eat Italian food, and was an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Saint Josephs Hawks basketball team. He had a special commitment to the Sisters of Mercy and Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station, PA, where his daughter, Michelle, attended high school. Above all, David was devoted to his wife, Noreen, and daughter, Michelle. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation at the DAnjolell Memorial Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008, 610-356-4200. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 8th from 6-9 pm and Saturday, April 9th 8:30-9:45 am. The Mass will be held at Saint Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA, at 10:30am on Saturday, April 9th. Burial will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA, following the mass.
