MAGUIREDaniel J. “Dan”, age 72, of Pocono Lake, PA and formerly of Milmont Park passed unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep on March 31, 2018. Survived by his beloved wife, his “bride” of 50 years, Joanne (nee Philbin). Devoted father to his three sons, Daniel (Theresa), Keith and Kevin Maguire. Adored Pop Pop to Maura, Quinn, Danny, Keith, Ryan, Erin, Sean, Kyra and Aly. Brother to Patrick, Michael (Diane) and Sr. Shawn Marie, SND. Predeceased by his sister Nancy and sister in law Rose.Dan was born in Darby and was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School. He was an accomplished plumber of Local 690 until his retirement in 2006 when he moved to his vacation home in the Poconos. Dan and his best friend Joey spend winters in Florida and summers on Locust Lake beach with their many friends. Pop Pop enjoyed watching his grandkids many sports teams and always kept the nine of them laughing.Dan loved cheering on his Philly sports teams and Villanova basketball. One of Dan’s fondest memories was watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl with his three sons and family. Dan always had a smile on his face, put others first and enjoyed life. He truly was one of a kind.Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday evening 6-8 pm at the Danjolell Memorial Home 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008 and Friday morning 10:00 – 11:15 am at Saint Mary Magdalen Church 2400 N. Providence Rd., Media, PA 19063 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Interment S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
