Carol F. Latham
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Carol F. Latham announces her passing on February 18, 2023. Carol, the daughter of Alexander and Olga (Labowskie) Falcon, was born on March 22, 1950 in Broomall, PA.
Carol married Richard B. Latham in 1983 and they are the parents of Emily (Michael Bolt) and R. Scott. She was the loving grandmother of Brynn Bolt and was affectionately referred to as “Telani”. Carol is also survived by her sister, Gail Woods (Andy), brother Alexander Falcon, Jr. (Holly), nieces Gina Woods, MD (Leo Kroonen, MD), Alissa Minnich (Brody), and Nephew Alexander Falcon, III (Katherine). She is also survived by great niece Sydney Kroonen and great nephew Graham Kroonen.
Carol graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in 1968, Cabrini College in 1972 and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Villanova University. After graduation, she began her teaching career at Sharon Hill Elementary School where she taught second grade for 35 years. As a life long learner, Carol had a passion for teaching and instilling a love of learning in her students.
Carol loved living a life full of adventure and was always on the move. She was an equestrian from an early age and participated in many horse shows, loved fox hunting at Radnor Hunt and showed her horses at the Devon Horse Show. Even after giving up riding, she never missed a year at the Devon Horse Show. She loved watching the competitions and visiting her favorite shops. Carol had a passion for crafts and supporting local artists, often spending her weekends on the go visiting local craft shows and seeing her favorite artists. Her skills as an interior designer were also well known; visiting local consignment shops to find unique items. She was notorious for moving everything “one inch” to get it just right. One of her greatest passions was travelling all over the world, notably taking trips with her children to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, China, Iceland, and the Canadian Rockies. Carol will be fondly remembered for finding joy and adventure in life, her creativity and her unconditional love.
