Rachel and I send our deepest condolences to Rick, Emily, Scott, Mike and their extended family. The world has truly lost a kind and gentle soul. Our friendship with Rick and Carol began in 1985 on a trip to Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. Carol, Rick, Jerry (my deceased husband), and I had the most fun of anyone on this trip and began a friendship that spanned 38 years. We shared the births of our children, their graduations, marriages, and the births of their children. Although we moved frequently throughout the years, we always made a point of seeing Rick and Carol when we were anywhere near Pennsylvania. Carol always welcomed us with open arms. I will miss her dearly, but I know she and Jerry are together looking down on us and reminiscing about our times together.

Dear Carol I will miss you so much. Really appreciate your teaching and companion when I was young in US. I still remember the moment when you walk to me and ask me "Do you need help?" when I stood in front of the various cards. When you know I come US alone, you give me your phone number and email before we waving Goodbye. You always lighten me a lot. Too much gratitude and memories I want to share but I still need to organize my English. You invited me to craft show, watched Devon horse show, visited your house for that amazing Christmas tree, and even introduced Emily to be my friend in case that I felt alone in US. What a beautiful soul I met when I was at 27. You know… recently I am preparing to learn riding horse. I have even imagined your joyful expression and voice while I telling you one day “Finally I know how to ride the horse.” The gifts I bought for you and Emily couple years ago are still on my shelf. It's so pity that I never take action to tell you these in time. Thank you a lot to teach me “Carpe diem” again. I will always remember your kindness and warm smile, and treat others well just like you treat me. ❤️Regret not chatting with you more often but just missing you. Wish you all good in heaven. # Dear Emily, please accept my deepest sympathies.
