With great sorrow, we announce the
sudden passing of Anne F. Lee.
On October 18th, 2024 Anne peacefully departed at the age of 77, surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Floyd C. Lee, Jr., with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on November 19, 2023.
Anne was the daughter of the late Madeline (nee Grasso) and Armand Cresta. She is survived by her siblings Linda Higgins (Tom), Armand Cresta (Cathy), and Michael Cresta (Maria), as well as her children Floyd Ill (Sandy), Kevin (Patty), and Michele Brown (Bryan). Anne cherished her grandchildren Tyler Brown (Laura), Floyd IV, Allie, Erica Rose, Kevin, Justin Brown, and Madeline Brown, along with her great-grandchild Ryder Brown, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Born on December 30, 1946, in Philadelphia, Anne attended St. Gabriel Elementary School and graduated from Saint Maria Goretti High School in 1964. Her 3TO family remained constant through the stages of her life.
She began her career as a teacher and earned her Associates Degree in 1990 from Community College of Philadelphia. She taught at St. Clement’s School in Southwest Philadelphia until her retirement, positively impacting countless young minds and forming lifelong friendships, especially with the Sisters, Service of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM).
Anne met her true love, Floyd, in the summer of 1962, at the young age of 15. They married on August 21, 1965. She and Floyd started their married life on Etting Street in South Philly before moving to Mallard Place. They raised their family in Southwest Philly, where she was deeply involved in the community, notably as a member of the St. Irenaeus Women’s Club.
Summer vacations were filled with memories at the shore, where she welcomed family and friends to her home in North Wildwood, creating cherished experiences for everyone. The front porch became the meeting place. She welcomed everyone with open arms, turning ordinary moments into cherished gatherings. Whether it was the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or the sound of crickets at night, the porch became a canvas for connection, where bonds grew stronger and stories intertwined.
Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. After moving in with her daughter Michele and her family in Mullica Hill in 2005, she continued to be the ultimate Grandmom, always present at events and cheering from the sidelines. She enjoyed her shopping trips, library visits, going out to eat, boat rides, playing boardwalk games, and anything else her grandchildren asked from her. She instilled in them the importance of family.
Since last year, Anne spent time at Shady Lane Nursing Home, where she maintained a positive outlook, always participating in activities and making new friends.
Anne’s unwavering love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who
knew her, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
