Cremation Services
Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, The American Cremation Society, DANJOLELL Memorial Homes and Crematory provides on-premises cremation services. As in our interment program, those clients choosing cremation have a variety of programs and options.

Cremation Selections
Effective January 1,2006
An ever-increasing number of families are requesting cremation services. We have compiled a sampling of cremation services that we have had the privilege of providing. For your convenience, the following cremation service options are grouped into Four Categories:
A) Public Viewing & Funeral Service
B) Private Family Viewing Only
C) Identification by Next of Kin
D) No Identification - Waived by Family
Each of the "Options" listed below automatically includes the following services which are more specifically described in the General Price List.
- Basic services of Funeral Director and Staff (see full description in our General Price List).
- Transfer of deceased from Hospital to Memorial Home. Nursing Home or Residence is extra, see GPL.
- Sheltering of deceased for a minimum of 24 hours prior to cremation as required by law.
- Refrigeration as needed in lieu of embalming at our Malvern-Frazer location (up to 72 hrs.)
- Completion of all cremation authorizations and securing permits:
a. Coroner's or Medical Examiner's permission to cremate, (some counties have a fee)
b. Cremation permit from Vital Statistics
c. Cremation Authorization from next of kin or appropriate family members.
d. Filing death certificate and ordering certified copies of same.
- Cremation and processing of cremated remains at our Malvern-Frazer location.
- If a service is selected whereby we are not handling the final disposition of the cremated remains, unless an urn is selected, the cremated remains will be returned to the family in a temporary container, which may be made of either cardboard or plastic. An appointment must be made to meet at one of our locations, usually in the late afternoon.
- Completion and filing of Federal forms for Social Security and Veteran's Benefits (as applicable).
- Assistance with newspaper notices, life insurance claims & notary service.
- Private positive identification of deceased by next of kin prior to cremation a the location of choice.
- Sanitary care including bathing; setting features; and, as applicable, shave, shampoo and combing of hair.
- Dressing and placement in cremation casket or alternative container (as selected) for identification.
Cremated Remains
A) Placed in an urn or urns at the family's discretion for services
B) Inurnment at the family cemetery (gravesite or columbarium niche)
C) Placed in the Scattering Series urn for the family at a later date
D) Placed in a basic wooden urn for the family
E) A simple plastic urn is picked up by the family
F) Memorial Home spreads the cremated remains at sea
G) Family supplies their own urn to memorial home<
The next of kin/responsible party of the deceased must inform the Memorial Home within THIRTY (30) DAYS the decision regarding the cremated remains. Memorial Home has the right to dispose of the cremated remains at sea and the credit card held for payment will be charged the fee of $200.
